A peculiar start to the year. Snow and cold in the Netherlands. While we buy some time for the visa process. At the end of January, we returned to Uganda on a tourist visa. We are not allowed to work with a tourist visa. ...

After some extra time in the Netherlands, we are heading back to Uganda on Wednesday. We are waiting there for our work visas, and then we can get back to work. We are ready!
Welcome in dust and special rain

After 10 weeks in the Netherlands where it was getting cooler, back to the tropical temperatures of Uganda. It was time to adjust. Dust everywhere in the house. I could write on the table. After cleaning the table, shelves, and floor, the suitcases could be brought in and unpacked. It was wonderful to be able to put the chocolate sprinkles in the cupboard.

Have you ever seen these? A double row of poles extending from the beach into the water. Their purpose is to break the waves, preventing them from taking over the dunes and land and washing them away.
